Press Release - Slovenian Award Winners

 

EuroCloud Slovenia and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia – Export oriented group of Slovenian ICT companies ZITex and awarded EuroCloud 2012Award for the best cloud services. The awards are intended to stimulate the development of cloud solutions and established them as the driving force of the Slovenian ICT export.
The call received 13 cloud services divided into 4 categories:

● Best Cloud Service

● Best Case Study in the Private Sector

● Best Case Study in Public Administration

● Highest Increase in Efficiency Using Cloud Services

Services were evaluated by the expert jury composed by: Prof. Dr. Matjaz B. Juric – Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Ljubljana, prof. Dr. Marjan Krisper – Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Ljubljana, Matej Rus, Senior Lecturer at the University of Maribor, Dusan Zupancic - CEO of ICT Association at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia andDalibor Baškovč - CEO of EuroCloud Slovenia. In assessing the jury applied criteria, which are used in all other EuroCloud members’ state. The jury first selected finalist in each category and afterwards chose the winners.

In the category “Best cloud service”, expert jury decided to give the special award to company Abelium for their iOliva solution as the “most Innovative Service”.

Winners of the Slovenian EuroCloud 2012 award for each of the category are:

Best Cloud service:

• Optilab d.o.o for the solution Admiral

Best Case Study in Private Sector:
• SI.MOBIL d.d. for the solution Popolna pisarna

Best Case Study in Public Administration
• XLAB d.o.o. for the solution ISL Online

Special Award for the most Innovative Service:
• ABELIUM for the solution iOliva
Winners of the Slovenian EuroCloud 2012 award will participate in all europen EuroCloud contest competing with other member states for the EuroCloud 2012 award.
