Description: In recognition of SME Week and in celebration of entrepreneurship in Europe, Microsoft hosts a roundtable discussion on the benefits of cloud computing for European SMEs – as creators, service suppliers, and consumers. We invite you to join this discussion, as well as a short tour of technology demos, which will concentrate on cloud services developed by European SMEs.
The roundtable discussion will focus on policy issues affecting SMEs and the technology sector and will gather various business representatives, European policy makers and other interested stakeholders to talk about the issues from their perspectives. In these challenging economic times and in the context of the new Multiannual Financial Framework negotiations, the EU has the opportunity to support business development and tackle issues that SMEs face, such as access to EU funding, reduction of administrative burdens, increased competition from emerging economies and the need for advanced eSkills in the European workforce
We hope that the roundtable will allow us to exchange views and share experience regarding how to better support small businesses and discuss the impact of an efficient legal, political and economic environment on them, as well as the benefits of cloud computing and innovative technology on the broader economy.
